I want to thank all the amazing, caring staff at Oaklawn who cared for my father-in-law Jack Marsh recently. Unfortunately when he arrived at the hospital, his wife had just passed away from cancer the previous day and we had just learned a few days prior that Jack also had cancer. We were unaware at that point how widespread his cancer was. The staff were an amazing support and care team for our family, while they cared for him (and us) during his final few days. Love Kathryn to pieces. Delivered both of my babies. Professional and she has the best bed side manner in the business 😍

It seemed like they didn't really want me in their hospital. No alcohol. No drugs. I have a very low pain threshold with IVs in my left elbow. It burns like hell and I'm unable to stand it in there. I literally come unglued. All the hospitals I have been I have the same reaction. They all try to convince me it can't. Once it is removed, within sevonds, it doesn't bother me anymore. They also didn't clean the abrasions of dirt and other material embedded.

I've had issues with a nasal polyp flaring up. Previous visits have had a charge of $118. Insurance takes care of some and I pay the rest. For my most recent visit I was charged $181 for a 'high' level of care. I went in for persistent coughing and a polyp. All that happened was the nurse did the typical blood pressure check, etc. Doctor came in and said, "Oh, your polyp is flaring up again." That was it. I was prescribed a steroid, told to keep taking cough medicine which I stated wasn't working, and went home. Nothing else... read more
