RecommendedWe picked this club three years ago because of the friendly members. We’ve made some good friends here, learned a lot about sailing and have had some fun times. OYC has one of the best chefs in the Bay Area too. We have never regretted our decision!!!
This is the friendliest club on the bay! I joined a year ago and between the weather and the people, their boating experience and comaraderie, the events, racing and cruise outs, dinners, brunches and more - this group has it covered!
Amazing race committee. Racing is well organized and super fun.
A great club for those who’s boating style is unpretentious and who enjoy camaraderie. Not as much of a family club, if the kids are grown, this might be a good fit.
Great spot to hang out and sail a boat! People familiar with Oakland Yacht Club call it living on the Rivera. The weather here is just a bit nicer than elsewhere in the San Francisco Bay area. The members are super friendly. Highly recommended.
Great club. Supports local clubs/ associations race activities. New chef and management are great!
