My brother and I have been living at Oakdale for about 6 months now, and have had almost nothing but issues. Communication and maintenance are the biggest issues. It was not as clean as the place we were first shown, but that was the least of our issues. The first night, the toilet clogged and the water value to turn the water off to it didn’t work. Buildings are not well maintained. During the winter snow was not removed for over a week after it snowed. So far the grass has not been mowed. It’s under new management but there has been no improvement from previous management.
Hours have changed. See latest hours in photo. 9a to 5p M to F. Photos of the extensive pot holes were taken on 3/30/2026 and 3/31/2026. I have been informed that the City of Bloomington Housing & Neighborhood Development HAND and Hunter Bloomington Properties are in communication to address the entensive and severe 30+ potholes. I can’t recommend anyone to stay at Oakdale Square, it was great prior to the buyout. After the property was bought by Hunter Bloomington everything about the property has gone downhill. The initial transition was handled poorly as the property management company kept changing web portals for properties services such as maintenance request and rent payment. I am not happy with the new landlord that brought out Oakdale Hunter's property sucks They're not doing their job by removing snow From the main road because one ambulance Got stuck Another ambulance got stuck Just not happy with Hunter's properties I will not recommend anybody else To live at a hunter's property I am not happy with Hunter's property.
