This is my second year living at Oak Valley Apartments and I have renting in the area for the last 4 years. Oak Valley Apartments have hands down been the best place I have rented from. All of the staff are always helpful, especially Blake and Bill! If there are ever any problems, questions, or concerns that I ever have I just reach out to Blake and she always willing to help. I’ve just read a couple of horrible reviews regarding the property manager, Blake, and I am shocked at what I read. I have been a renter for a few years now , and I’ve never experienced anything but professionalism and niceness from her! She has always addressed my concerns immediately whether it’s a maintenance issue or a complaint regarding a neighbor. I can’t help but think that perhaps it’s the renter that has the attitude??? Upon our initial walk through of the apartment we noticed right away that the windows did not open nor lock and upon stating that having windows in a garden level unit that did not open being a fire safety hazard Blake said that's why we provided wooden sticks to put in them. (Can't begin to guess why wood sticks would aid us in a fire but I digress) We then noticed that the front door appeared to not close effectively for the lock to secure the door. It is very disappointing that apartments like this are allowed to exist. Truly the issues I have witnessed are a liability to both the tenants and to the community and it is sad that they go on unchecked to such a disgusting degree. Will be following counsel on what actions to take next, and what organizations need to be notified.
This is an absolute horrible place to rent! If you are young and trying to just have a nice little apartment, this is NOT the place to rent from. Especially if you are Latino or anything but white. Blake (office manager) is an absolute horrible, disrespectful and inappropriate person to deal with. She will come off as sweet at first but god forbid you make any maintenance request for mold (spreading like wildfire on the ceilings and belongings) water leaks from other apartments or gas leaks, she will treat you like scum.
