My visits have always been pleasant from beginning to end. From the moment I arrive, the front desk staff receives me with a warm welcome and a friendly smile while verifying demographics and checking me for my appointment. All is done professionally in a timely manner. My provider cares about my overall health, listens patiently to any concerns I may have, and informs or recommends alternative treatment measures. I’ll give Oak Street Health a 2-Star rating because it’s very clean, and they always answer the phone. But I can’t go higher. After collecting labs for my very first appointment, they called me between that and the appointment that followed to say it was postponed. They promised to call when they had a date, and never did. I was able to call them (because they always answer) after about a week and schedule that follow-up visit. Most recently I called with an urgent issue where a Primary Care Doctor would have sufficed. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy! The continuity of care is horrible! My mother was waiting on the supposed transportation to pick her up for one appointment. She called me and said the van had not arrived. Her appointment was at 10am. She called me at 940. I called the office and the answering service told me the office was CLOSED! No one called and told us anything! Two other times my mother was told her provider had an emergency and her appointment needed to be rescheduled. On one occasion, she was tol... read more
