I was feeling stuck and in pain after traveling to Los Angeles area over the holidays, dealing with severe pain from a cracked tooth that likely got root infected in spite of crown placement a few months earlier. Drs. Zahr and Boyer were extremely attentive and responsive when it was difficult to find answers or rapid availability. I had deep pockets of gum work that needed to be cleaned, so Sean used numbing gel and then did his thing, constantly asking me if I felt any pain. I never did feel anything that hurt, but he was very careful and very kind. He used a laser tool and also told me that it might hurt. It didn't, but the warning helped me prepare just in case. The entire hour I was in the chair, Sean was first and foremost concerned about my comfort and pain levels, which was very impressive. And of course he did great work. Saw Dr. Zahr for an emergency tooth fix after chipping my front teeth in a boating accident. Her office got me scheduled quickly and she and her team took great care of me and ensured I was looking like my normal self by the time I walked out of her office. Great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.
I would like to update my review to say that I have now been seen by Dr. Zahr as well, and she is so talented, sweet and kind she has got to be an angel of dentistry. She is detail oriented, and loves her work. Today the others I saw were Samantha, who gave me such a gentle thorough cleaning, and Mel was there today too, both just wonderful. [UPDATE: Since my OP below, I have now had the chance to see Drs. Boyar and Zahr and am very happy with both! OP follows.] I was a patient of Tad Erickson for several years since moving here. I have been as happy with the new practice that took over as I was with Dr E.
