The management staff there are so nice and extremely helpful, they couldn’t be any sweeter. I highly recommend this place. I get to be a part of their family, I’m soon moving in.
Dear Lord, what a mistake. Zero ventilation. Literally zero windows in the living room, only a balcony. Foul smell from neighbors everyday and night. Emerges at random times through the bathroom vent and after spreading to my entire apartment, it lingers for hours. I can open the balcony and it doesnt change anything. I have 2 purifiers on max 24/7 with little to no relief. I dont know if theyre smoking meth, cooking it, or cooking poop. Its foul. There are cockroaches, mold, and paper thin walls. You will be able to hear your neighbors' TVs and conversations through the wall, the floors, and the ceiling. This place is just not worth the price - which they will raise by the maximum legally allowable amount every year. Also zero utilities are included so count on adding a couple hundred bucks to your rent plus fees. Update: Be sure to ask for an itemized list for your security deposit return, they charged me $400 for paint.
Pretty nice property, they got some pretty nice people on staff. Ermer is really great, he always does a great job keeping the grounds clean and is very polite. Adrian works maintenance here and he really came through today when he helped us with an issue we had in our apartment. He was very receptive to our issue and made the time to fix it right away. A++.
Renee was a wonderful help from start to finish. Sometimes, when looking for a place to live, these large apartment complexes are very hard to communicate with. Not Renee at Oak Park - she was awesome.
