No compassion for elderly from some employees. Medical incompetence from some staff. Beautiful building professional rehab. Need overhaul on nursing staff. Would not leave a family member there alone.

RecommendedMy mother is currently there and I am so grateful she is. I live in Texas and to know that that she is in a place that she loves and that loves her makes all the difference. My brother and his family are close by so they take exceptional care of her too. But I have worked as a nurse in enough places to know when a facility has high standards and again am so grateful mom is at Oak Grove.
RecommendedMy mother-in-law moved here from Chicago 15 months ago. At least a couple times per week, she tells us how happy she is! She has developed a circle of friends, enjoys the food & the amenities. We visited five facilities before deciding on Oak Grove. It turned out to be a great fit for her & for our family!
Hopefully this care center has changed the way they treat elderly with mental illness better than they did my mother. They refused to give her her meds needed for dementia and left her in her room and would not help her eat. I had to move her. She lost 38 lbs in 3 months. They refused to rehab her after a stroke. It was horrible. I hope they quit using the physicians from Demotte who refused to allow her meds. Enough said.
This place rules.
My mother in law has been there for over a year. I have no complaints, and feel like this is one of the best nursing homes around. They are always there to help her, and able to accommodate all of her needs!
