We used Oak and Willow as our day of event coordinator. I hired Valerie but actually got assigned an assistant to be my coordinator. She definitely could have been better. She would not respond to texts, and had vendors show up to deliver items before she arrived on my wedding day. She also communicated to my grandparents to sit in the second row during the ceremony without asking me where I wanted them to sit. I definitely felt like I paid a lot of money and got assigned the B team.
Valerie was my day of wedding coordinator, and she was very nice to work with. She decorated our venue beautifully with little direction. Unfortunately there were many details that were not mitigated. I asked her multiple times to send the planning documents included in our package, yet they were never sent. She did not make any extenuating effort to arrive at our rehearsal, therefore wedding day was stressful for me as the bride. I was only given one timeline that was very vague. I’ve coordinated many weddings myself and knew whoever would do my wedding would have some large shoes to fill. She exceeded every expectation I had.
