Loved it clean and very nice hospitable and generous waitresses and cooks..
We were in Ventura for the mountains2beach marathon and we had reservations fo our group of runners. We had a group of 10 they split us up from 2 of our party. So on a night we were carbing up for our run and looking to enjoy ourselves we were a little taken back from what had happened, our 2 friends were really pissed. They were not part of our experience. Even though our food was good not sure if we will return.
I never made it into the teppan section. I like going to the sushi bar when I go. Hiro is a great sushi chef that will actually talk to you the way Masa Hirimatsu did years ago. And for that I give this restaurant 5 stars. Customer service is great, the food is good. The overall value for sushi is reasonable and the number one thing. Hiro the sushi chef interacts with you and is friendly. Unlike other "sushi bars" where the sushi chef never smiles or talks.
