Occasionally I dine or get takeout from the Laguna Beach location, for the variety and quality of the sushi. I recently tried the restaurant week omakase menu. I took 2 courses home (sashimi selection and cheesecake dessert. This is my first experience with omakase, so I cannot compare to other restaurants. Attentive service, good premium omakase($165 per person) ! Every dish is packed with flavors, our favorites are the A5 wagyu,toro with scallop, and lobster truffle chawanmushi. Good atmosphere, good for a date night or celebration!
This omakase spot is perfect for special occasions! The Valentine's Day menu blew me away. Highlights included melt-in-your-mouth toro/scallop, shiso tempura shrimp, and silky chawanmushi with truffle. At $200+ per person, it's a splurge but worth it for the artful presentation, premium ingredients, and romantic ambiance. An unforgettable dining experience!
