I have to think that the doctors at NYU are stellar but all but one of my experiences with my lineup of NY docs has been close to awful. It seems the NYU is not aware that patients have many options when it comes to treatment. And NYU is sorely behind the medical industry when it comes to what is considered acceptable practice re customer service. My wife had surgery Yesterday, November 19th at 445. It's now November 20th at 6PM and she still doesn't have a room. She's in recovery because somebody dropped the ball and didn't schedule her for a room. It's not easy to sleep in the recovery room because it's always busy. She needs a quiet place to sleep and get better. I'm starting to think someone screwed up 3 weeks ago when she had her initial surgery. We came home and she never healed properly now she's back in surgery to clean up the infection that's running through ... read more
I had complex Mitral valve surgery on Oct 1 with the brilliant Dr. Loulmet. The surgery went perfectly, and the care in the hospital was flawless; nurses, attending physicians, physical therapy, the room, cleanliness, even the huge TV. This heart surgery group is beyond first-rate. Michael Feldman
