Very inconsistent from floor to floor in hospital. On 17, I had to push a chair from the back so I could sleep next to my husband . I had asked hours before for it. As I struggled up the hall with it, the staff was having a grand old time laughing and joking. They could care less ... I will say the nursing in the ICU was excellent though and of course, there are individual standouts on 17. And, they are terribly understaffed dealing with a lot of geriatric issues. Dr. Laura Ruggiero horrible person. Got to appt. 12 minutes late. From NJ and am dealing with my Dad also a NYU patient who has dementia. Waited 2 months for appointment and told to leave. Not being seen after 15 minutes late. REALLY? No compassion. I asked to speak to doctor and she refused to even come out. UNREAL. For years I waited and waited time and time again but there is NO room for patient. I wouldn't want her now anyway but it's a disgrace.
Beautiful hospital!! Amazing staff!!! Had an Ablation done there yesterday and I can’t say enough about the amazing staff and hospital.
