I have been a patient of Taos Dental for over a year and always found the service and quality to be excellent. Recently I had dental emergency and when I called the office Dr. Nylund told me come in immediately. I was in a chair and numb within 15 minutes of my arrival and Dr. Nylund resolved what turned out to be an abscessed tooth within another fifteen minutes. I found him uncaring & sloppy with his work. The staff wasn’t any better & even overcharged me. I would never refer a person to his practice and feel as a doctor he should be held to a higher standard. Instead I turned him over to the insurance commissioner. Steer clear

Sorry but Dr Nylund's expansion after he purchase the business from Dr Simms has gone down hill. His front staff are very scattered when called on the phone, most recently trying to get my father in law a follow up for his plate, which has taken 2 months. At 90 years old and in this community since 1959, he deserves better. The rates for cleaning are sky high and they push xrays every time. I will say that the hygenists are wonderful, especially Noah.
