Unfortunately, I encountered bed bugs at this hotel on my second night. I have stayed at this hotel before without issues. I understand that these things happen, however, I spoke with the front desk staff who did not give me any help in the situation; only that the mattress was less than a year old and it shouldn't have any. I informed them that it doesn't matter how long its been there; if there are people sleeping on it, there is always a risk of bed bugs to transfer to the mattress. I am a silver Hilton member. I’ve been staying here almost every week, either overnight or two nights for that past two months. I’ve noticed that both service and room cleanliness have become worse instead of better. The male front desk clerk who typically checks me in is as not cordial to me compared to Caucasian customers. Sad and disappointing. I often stay in the same rooms and last week, I opted for room 424, broken shower and unclean bath floor. This evening, I attended a wedding in the ballroom at the Hampton. I was AMAZED at how the staff orchestrated every single minute step of the entire evening. We found the staff and the hotel to be excellent. Eddy, the manager is more than willing to help you with any problem you may have. the staff at the front desk of Michelle, Alyssa, and Katlie are very friendly and great to work with. 100% underwhelming. Bed was hard as a rock, very uncomfortableunless you prefer to sleep on concrete, no tub to soak in, no pool/hot tub, no continental breakfast, restaurant wasn't open at 6 as posted (or 7) had to walk to 7eleven for breakfast. For the price, you would be better off at a super 8 or econo lodge. Totally not what you would expect from a Hilton. The "view of the water" non existent from the room.

The worst hotel service in Chico CA. I digitally checked in the night before reserving the room I wanted. When I physically checked in they tried to give me a different room. When I questioned why they changed my room. They acted as though I was the one who messed up the reservation and told me to calm down. The manager and owner of this franchise weren't available, and no management contact information was available.. Worst service I've ever experienced. I'll never go back to that place.

Kira, Annette and Tee were the most pleasant ladies that I have ever interacted with. They were sweet and very helpful. They were attentive to our needs and everyone else in the hotel. It was a home atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and again. I was very comfortable. I appreciate everything that was done for us. They definitely deserve to be praised for their kind and caring personality. Thank you, Millicent Brown,
