I saw Dr Feistmann last year and he was very comforting and kind. He’d call me after hours to assuage my fears and offered to see me every week. He was also very gentle when he examined my eyes. I was particularly nervous because I love to read and the thought of possibly going blind due to retinal detachment scared me to death. I’ve never heard of PVD and never had flashes or hemorrhage in my eye before. No one in my family had this condition, although I’m told everyone undergoes this due to aging. I saw Dr. Feistmann about 5 years ago for a detached retina repair in my left eye, and saw him again this April 2025 for the same treatment in my right eye. Just like the first time, he did and 10 out of 10 job on my right eye, and I am extremely happy. In fact, he did the procedure the same day I went to see him because NYC Retina now has a fully operational surgical suite at their 19th street location. I had an 8am appointment and didn’t see a doctor until 10am, so I just sat around waiting for two hours, 1.5 of which was with chemically dilated eyes, all for a truly three minute exam by a doctor who was brusque and seemed exhausted. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I had a visit with Dr Shulman today, hands down top professional I was referred by my ophthalmologist, this was easy to execute diagnosis... Floaters... after cataric replacement.... Advice was wait a litter longer, be patient. DR Shulman you are an Amazing woman... And most comforting Many Thanks
