This is THE place to go for any of your hair needs. I have been going to Kenny for the past 6 years and the compliments I have received are too numerous to count. He is a perfectionist and a true professional in his craft. I can’t imagine going anywhere else for my cut and color.

I don't usually post negative reviews but this experience was so upsetting I feel others need a warning. I came in to see The Stylist based on the brand of hair color they use and had instructions from another stylist I had gotten to see all the way across the country. The Stylist at New York hair and color told me I was coming across as paranoid and began combing my hair out. Kenny and his lovely assistant are phenomenal colorists. I have my hair bleach and toned regularly and the truth is it's not an easy process. A great colorist will get the color perfect, not cause you any pain and not fry your hair and Kenny and his assistant achieved this. The conversations we would have would during my colors were equal parts hilarity, philosophy and pontification and although I've moved away I look back on these colors there as some of my fondest Poughkeepsie memories tbh.

I had a fantastic experience with Kenny! I got exactly the pixie cut I was looking for, and I went platinum blonde. It was a more complex dye job and he made me feel totally comfortable and in the know on what was happening to my hair. He worked on me with his assistant and the whole process was very efficient. I am so happy with the results!
