We moved into our home in January of 2018 and everything was great up until we moved in. Now it is impossible to get a hold of the project manager in order to get things resolved. We are still missing things that were to be fixed upon our final walk through and it seems no one is willing to help. I recently built a home with Ryan Homes. They were great until they had my money. Once they go the mortgage signed and they had their money, it was all downhill. I have a CONTRACT that says my landscaping must be completed by 06/30/2018. It's not done. I called the project manager, he said "oh we just overbuilt" and can't get it all done. I'm trying to escalate this and cannot get further than the site manager. My 11 year old home has developed serious issues around the footer drains and sump pump area. A likened plumbing co. has determined that the drain pipes were installed incorrectly during construction. No backfill gravel was laid to protect the pipes. The sump pump discharge pipe was laid pitched DOWNWARD toward the foundation. It was also laid STRAIGHT to the retention pond?! Worst customer service ever- very rude and unapologetic and inhumane. They have very poor quality appliances that break easily. When I moved into my home the GAS LINE was not tightly connected and was leaking gas in my home. Ryan Homes denied it when I informed them but low and behold it was confirmed by the gas company that we had a LARGE leak. They gave me a faulty HVAC needing at least 4 repairs. They refused to fix their shoddy equipment after warranty even though I had been telling them for 2 years that the unit was bad... read more

Ryan homes customer service and warranty is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered. There workmanship is substandard and they install the cheapest of cheap products for your home. When you have a warranty claim to replace something they will push off on you something that looks worse than the part they are replacing and their attitude is take it or leave it. They even wanted me to install a closet door myself because I wouldn't except the damaged door the first time. I would never recommend anyone to buy a Ryan ... read more

I'm extremely disappointed and infuriated that Ryan Homes is not willing to do what is right. I just built a home with the company just over 3 years ago in Chapel Hill, NC. Over the weekend we noticed that water was pouring from the ceiling and leaking into our kitchen through one of our recessed lights. I called their customer service line only to find out that they won't do anything to fix this and it's my responsibility. This is ridiculous. I have had a terrible experience dealing with Ryan homes. We had an issue with the drywall that was put in inappropriately and I had two people from Ryan homes admit this however, they never got back to us to fix it. They first promised there would be a six month inspection, they never showed up. I called and I was told that this was inaccurate information. I am utterly displeased with Ryan Homes and their lack of customer service. It is unacceptable for the siding to be coming off of my 15 month old home and when I called to place a ticket to have repaired, they referred me to the siding company and stated the 1 year warranty was up. So, I guess siding on a brand new home is only supposed to last 15 months? Perhaps that is the norm now. Ryan Homes should be ashamed of themselves and the lack of customer service that they provide. We have been in our new Ryan Homes (NVR, Inc.) over three years since September, 2014 and we are very pleased. Ryan Homes is one of many builders in our luxury subdivision located in a western suburb of Chicago.
