These people are absolute criminals! We built with them 5 years ago and it has been nothing but one problem after another since. They cut corners constantly and offer little to no help. Our home is a nightmare and of course these crooks take none of the blame. I don’t know how there isn’t a class action lawsuit yet!
I'd give-10 if I could. 1st our credit was compromised during the mortgage process. Horrible drywall, electrical work sub par..had to repair cracks & corner bead exposed, a downspout put in the wrong area. Now my favorite $700 because birds were in my attic area. Where's compensation for a higher interest rate or the $700 back because you get non construction workers to do shitty work
Horrible builder. They cut cost and sacrifice any quality or service to the customer whenever it suits them. I lived in a Ryan home that was 2 years new when I bought it. It was horrible. There were several of the same model on the street and every one of us had to replace our showers and foyer ceilings when it collapsed from leaks. Missing flashing on the roof caused leaks, HVAC registers placed in the middle of the living room wall, most doors slanted, etc., etc. We said never again. When it came time to upgrade homes, few... read more
I am in process of buying a Ryan Homes, I love the process, the communication and the Warranty that is included. I have been viewing a lot of Ryan Homes' at different stages of construction and see tons of quality. If there is a mistake I see them fixing those very quickly. my purchase price is over $600,000 so this is a huge investment and I feel very secure in my decision!
ALthought I'm forced to choose a number of stars, in reality I am giving them NO STARS! They built a beautiful community in Ocean City, MD where we bought a condo, our future retirement home. Turns out that all 12 condo buildings (188 units) have serious structural issues. Both stair towers in each building have to be totally reconstructed. All the balconies and front landings pitch towards the front entrances so water accumulates and freezes there. And there are serious water proofing issues on all balconies. NVR/Ryan had t... read more
This is the company behind Ryan Homes. They uses low quality construction materials, horrible craftsmanship, and alienate customers who try to make them fix issues. They offer a one year warranty and come back to fix nail pops and other issues with the drywall during that time. This literally does nothing because shortly after, the same nails and cracks appeared because our houses were built into clay. They also had workers come fix some issues with the overhead vents, which left the paint around the vents ripped off and ugl... read more
If I could give them less than one star, I would. House appears to be built well. However, I am getting a warranty inspection on a house that I settled on less than a year ago. Over the last few months, I have repeatedly called the warranty department in reference to repairs Most of the time I did not get a response. When their rep came out he fed me some line and never followed up. I had an issue with my sod; I was told that it was my fault because I didn't water. However, I have had experts come out and advised me that the... read more
Business response:
The situation is worse that I mentioned. Got the soil tested; PHA level was not high enough for anything to grow in my backyard. Also, it rained for for two days; I have standing water in my yard. So, I am concerned about the foundation of my home. Reached out to the county; no response yet.
I am a VERY UNHAPPY homeowner! I moved in my newly built home on March 15, 2015. On September 15, 2018, I noticed a small puddle of water in my kitchen floor and thought perhaps an ice cube had fallen from the ice maker and melted. I wiped up the water and left the house, returning about 3 hours later to a bigger water puddle. Upon examining the water trail, I determined that water was leaking through the floor tile and baseboards. I called a plumber the same day to identify where the leak was coming from and determined that... read more
Business response:
Today is 10/8/2018 and I still have not received a call or response from Ryan Homes.
This is a very bad experience for me with NVR Homes for the warranty letter that they have provided me at the time of closing my home in 2014. The warranty letter has this, there is a TXV failure for ICP products, so you will be having labor as well as parts warranty for 5 years. This year I had problem with my both HVAC units because of TXV failures. So I contacted nvr homes regarding the warranty. They said to check with manufacturer or AC installers at out home. But manufacturer or AC installer at my home are replying bac... read more
