I was scheduled to see a gyne for IVF option on 14 May 2026 at 2:15pm. The registrar ladies were helpful and friendly but my care under both Dr Shan Lin Judith (Wang Shanling) Ong and Dr Zowie Khoo Khee Hwee were absolutely terrible. Firstly, I’m sure that Dr Khoo is probably a trainee at the hospital or so because of her constant checking with Dr Ong. I felt disappointed especially with my consultation experience with Dr Khoo. I continue to visit NUH because of my trusted prof and the nurses were friendly and helpful. However, it was a pain to get an appointment even as a private patient. I booked through the app, and it took 5 days to get a response. I replied some of the questions asked and had to wait another 5 days for a reply. In all, after 10 days, I have yet to get an appointment or even start queuing for an appointment. It’s unbelievable for a university hospital.

The service observed at the payment counter (facing the drop off point). Two staff members (a Malay lady and a young male staff) appeared disengaged and unresponsive while attending to customers. Their level of customer service, empathy and professionalism was noticeably lacking. There were shortcomings in assessing patients’ needs, particularly in matters related to financial queries. The information provided was not always clear, accurate or sufficiently explained, which is especially concerning when dealing with payments.... read more
