TOTAL BAIT-&-SWITCH SCAM !!!! First, they have an insurance requirement for $500,000 property damage which my Insurance company doesn't even offer. I have full insurance coverage with USAA (a highly reputable military bank). So this company requires you to have an insurance requirement that is impossible to meet. The low price was a plus, but the overall experience could have been better. This is an off-site rental location, and I personally didn’t feel comfortable with the surrounding area. The entire process of completing my reservation was handled through a computer, which felt impersonal. My biggest disappointment was the car’s appearance—it looked very worn and beat up. I appreciate an affordable rental, but I still expect a vehicle that looks reasonably well cared for.

Extremely Disappointing and Concerning Experience I strongly recommend that other customers carefully document everything when renting from NU Car Rental. I rented a 2021 Dodge Durango and purchased Loss Damage Waiver/Loss and Damage Protection for the rental. After returning the vehicle, NU charged me **$1,350 for alleged damage** even though the vehicle only had a couple of scratches on the bumper.
