My friends and I showed up on 7/25 to see Wata Igarashi--tickets in hand, good vibes ready. We chose Nowadays specifically because it's supposed to be an inclusive, welcoming venue. Turns out that inclusivity ends at the door. We were a big group, excited for the night. Enter: the "manager" (quotation marks doing a lot of work here, because actual management requires basic competence and professionalism). They ask who we're there to see. one person in our group didn’t know who the DJ was and the refused to let him in so our group said nope we’re all leaving 12 of us. i don’t think the manager realized he was with such a large group but doubled down was incredibly rude and the. tried to get us to “donate our tickets” instead of refunding, we obviously refused. don’t bother coming here. long list of rules… staff inside looking for a reason to kick you out when you get in. staff is incredibly rude. this place is begging for a lawsuit.
