The practice is a mixed bag. I’ve been a patient here for years, and I have no issues with Dr. Garcia. He can be blunt and very direct, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve never had a problem with him. The nurse practitioner is excellent. She takes the time to discuss concerns, walk through treatment options, and, in my opinion, genuinely wants to help her patients. Whatever you do, DO NOT BECOME A PATIENT HERE!! I’ve been going here for the past four years, and I truly have nothing good to say about this practice. There was only one good person I met at Novi Psychiatry and Psychology, and she left within 6 months of me working with her. I totally don’t blame her for leaving the practice. She truly cared about my well being and helped me through my mental struggles. After she left, I started to see Dr Garcia. This office is absolutely terrible. The front desk staff is rude and unwelcoming. My daughter saw dr Garcia and he didn’t even speak with her, I explained what was going on and he gave her meds. He said to make a follow up appt which I did. I called the office to reschedule the appt and they said she never had one. They then scheduled an assessment with a psychologist and it was scheduled months out, so I asked to be put on the wait list. I have worked with Novi Psychiatry and Psychology both as a patient, a mother (my daughter was a patient) and through my work (I have to call them for medication issues - I work in a pharmacy). I have had the worst experiences here in every aspect. I had so many problems getting prescriptions in a timely manner, for awhile they could no longer send controlled scripts electronically and I would have to drive there to pick up the prescription to get it filled.
