We went for my birthday, which we told them when we made the reservation. I also told them that I had an allium intolerance (onions, garlic, leeks). We started at 530 with bread service which was great, but they served hummus which was full of garlic which they did not disclose. Then we had appetizers and I had the farm egg, which had burrata and onions, which they again did not disclose. Had an absolutely wonderful evening at Novel celebrating a birthday. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was warm, welcoming, and so kind, even complimenting my wife's outfit right at the door. Our server Luke was fantastic. He set the tone for the whole experience, explaining what makes dining at Novel special and delivering it with high energy and real attentiveness the entire night. Really good food, drinks, and service. They could remove 3-4 tables and make the space better. Maybe. The atmosphere was just ok.
