Great food and really attentive service. – I am a typical LA person. I realized the only time I ever write comments here is when I receive a really bad service and don't utilize this to praise anyone or any business. It's all going to change today! I would like to write here that I love this restaurant! I love it! They consistently provide great food and great service. Actually, their service seem to improve with time. My last trip there was significantly better than my first or my second trip there. I give them a solid A. I... read more

hearty Italian food! – We were delighted to find this tiny, friendly Italian restaurant in the heart of Culver City. Excellent soup (including a "green" minestrone with pesto instead of tomato and a flavorful mushroom, though there were two other vegetable choices) and delicious pasta choices with large portions. I had the special - a fresh spinach fettucine with lightly sauteed fresh vegetables including fresh tomatoes instead of a sauce, and about 10 perfectly cooked shrimp. The fresh rosemary bread and the dipping sauce (... read more

Big attitude, little taste – Extremely unpleasant dining experience. The staff and the owner were snootier than those at any Hollywood club I have ever been to. It has been my experience that most Italian restaurants are very accommodating with their menus, willing to change a sauce here, add an ingredient there, as requested. Not so at this restaurant. To the contrary, we were treated with great hostility just for asking! They offer a gnocchi with 3 sauce choices and my mother had never tried one of the sauces so she asked ... read more

Great Ambiance, Great Deal! – This place is a hidden treasure. Their pastas are delicious, the meat sauce is wonderful - not to mention the free bread. This is a great place to go for a casual dinner.

Cute little Italian place – Walking inside, Novecento has but one long corridor of a dining room but with cute tables. Parties of more than 4 feel cramped. Their food is very good if not a touch on the greasy side. My penne arrabiata has been flavorful and their chicken tender and moist. Their bread with oils is very good and I'd gladly come back just for their lemonade!

bad management- never got seated – My husband and I decided to give Novecento a try since it looked so cute and we love Italian food. They were clearly having a busy night when we went, but we were willing to go with the first come, first served seating. There was no list, no hostess stand, no waiting area, and no one in charge of seating, but we were willing to wait it out. After standing awkwardly by the door for about half an hour during which time one couple ahead of us got a table, a party of five showed up just as a fa... read more

Best Italian Restaurant in LA – I've been going to Novecento for about 8 years now and same friendly people work there ever since. The place is very cute and cozy, also romantic in the evening. Both food and service has been consistently excellent, Ive never had a bad experience there. Their fresh lemonade is great, my favorite is the spinach salad, but you can only get that during lunch time. Everything Ive ever tasted there have been great. Tiramisu is great, too! By far, my favorite restaurant in LA. Highly recommend to a... read more

Yet another Culver City gem – Been going here for years. It's Italian food like you'd get in Italy, not in 1950s middle America. Definitely get the special appetizer salad that your server tells you about. It always has compelling flavor combinations and is always a little bit different. In fact, the specials your server rattles off (pay close attention and you'll get it all, even with the heavy, charming accents) are usually great. Among my faves: homemade gnocci with your choice of sauce, any of the chicken or fish entrees... read more

Great Dining – My husband and i looove this new treasure of a restaurant. After our first time there we have kept going back almost every week. Their service is good and friendly, the food is yummy, and the free starters are just as good, so if you are starving and cant wait for your appetizer to come you will be ok! the bruchetta is great! the ambience is romantic and cozy. A great find in culver city.
