I took a friend to Novant Health emergency room in kernersville N.C. there was a guy in the waiting room coughing really bad I asked staff if they could volunteer the guy a mask to put on as a courtesy for others including elderly in bad shape sitting in the same area. I asked staff to intervene to maybe suggest that he put a mask on or at least sanitize the area where he was sitting so that no one else would catch what he had that day they refused to do anything about it and a lady I think was the head nurse came over ... read more

Arrived at ER around 2AM with my wife who was experiencing chest pains. Before they can get my wife in a bed an ER attendant is already entering the room asking for debit card. She tells me there was a $200 copay. When I get the receipt I notice I was charged $800 - when I asked why the difference the ER attendant goes absolutely nuts, screaming and acting aggressively towards me, yelling out loud that she "knew how to do her job" and if I didn't like it I could take my "so-called" sick wife elsewhere.. If I could provide a negative star rating I would. I visited the ED in April 2021 it is now August 2021 and im still fighting a payment that my insurance has confirmed that I do not need to pay and have sent a letter to have them correct the error. The doctors that work in Novants ED are contractors and dont actually work for Novant. I didnt know this while I was a patient and in the ED however, each doctor I encounter had unbelievably bad bedside manner which lead to the worst ED visit I have ever experienced. I recently visited the ED for an hand laceration The lady at intake was very sweet very nice my nurse and na were amazing the reason for the 2 stars is because the doctor Mr. David Thompson was a jackass he was implying that I have been drinking and was under some kind of influence he kept saying that I looked tired asking if I had been drinking mind you it was 1:30 in the morning when I went in I get up every morning at 6-6 30 to get my kids ready for school so I was tired and im a manager at a car dealership so I wor... read more
