Everyone was caring for and about my care
My Oncology breast specialist doctor wrote orders for an ultrasound only. Novant/Southpark knew this, verified it through the doctor and myself. Novant just refused to give an ultrasound without a mammogram first. It’s my body & my decision but in USA it appears women have no choice over their body. I declined the mam after thoroughly researching. These decisions should be made between women and their chosen doctors, not by Novant & employees. This proves Novant doesn’t care about the patient. I had THE best experience at this Novant location! I was feeling nervous for my appointment, but the entire process was seamless and the staff were phenomenal! Shirley and Arlene made sure I knew all the steps and my doctor was phenomenal as well!
This location needs education on compassion and empathy. I have been here a couple of times and each time the front desk and techs are too assertive, borderline aggressive. If you are going here it is typically going to be a potentially emotional and/or stressful situation. Each time I am met with some type of unnecessary confrontation. The dr I met with was actually quite nice, so at least there’s that.
