Buyer beware. They advertise themselves as 50% 12-step based and 50% psychotherapy. It’s more like 90% 12 step, and 10% therapy. Public humiliation is a standard practice here; led proudly by egocentric “recovery specialists” some of whom have no background in addiction medicine or clinical training in mental health. Nova recovery was an absolute god send to me. I will forever in their debt. it truly gave me the skills on how to live a clean and sober life.
I will be eternally grateful for NOVA or Big Book Boot Camp. It taught me that there is another way to live and how to deal with all my defects, fears and stage characters that pop up and use over. I was happy I participated in Family weekend as it made me closer with my family members and helped them understand the disease of addiction. I have so many positive things to say about this place but I'll keep it short and simple. The staff and facility saved my life, I'm now coming up on a year sober. Nove recovery gave me the tools to fight my addiction and truly gave me some freedom from alcoholism. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!
