After 20 years with the same full top denture (still fitting and functioning, well made elsewhere), natural teeth on bottom, slowly escaping, it was time for a replacement on top and an almost full new partial on bottom. Edit after reading your reply: Maybe you can look a bit harder in your records as we came in this morning? :-) Saying to a 76 year old patient who is hurting due to a sharp edge in their denture which is making it hard for them to eat, "It's not bleeding right? So it's not a big deal," is not empathetic. We get it that the dentures were too brittle to be repaired, but not providing any short term solution that can help before their long trip this weekend was not what I was hoping for. The denturist replaced my set of dentures. I was very fortunate to have found him as I am new to the area. He is very kind and I immediately felt comfortable. The outcome was far more than I expected. They are extremely comfortable and his fees are more than far.
