Kayla is amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - she patiently worked with us for weeks getting our girl to breastfeed again. Kayla is reasonable with the exercises, homework, to do knowing we were working with a whole team (OT, and PT) too. I appreciate the follow up plans with everything written down to refer to during the week. Also, she has great recommendations for products and other specialists if needed.
Working with Kayla has been such a joy! I honestly don’t know how I would have managed those initial weeks of breastfeeding without her support. She has a soothing energy and a wealth of experience. Reaching out to her for help was the best choice I made as a new mom!
I have seen Kayla with 2 different babies, and she is the absolute best!! I have had 3 kids with tongue ties where nursing was impacted, and I wish I had found her with my first! My 2nd, Kayla helped me with exercises to work on proper suck patterns and best bottle use (I exclusively pumped), and my 3rd I set up an appointment even before delivery because I wanted her as soon as possible. If you’re looking for an amazing lactation consultant, Kayla is the best! She is incredibly knowledgeable and well-connected in the area. She is easy to work with and I appreciated her thoroughness, especially in her notes and recommendations. Kayla was always quick to respond with questions/concerns that came up after our appointments and sent very helpful videos and resources. I highly recommend Kayla if you need any help with nursing!
I learned of Kayla's work through her online breastfeeding class (in the "The Wild Mama" postpartum prep course), and WOW it was amazing! I was so impressed by the clarity and breadth/depth of her presentation, the way she described expectations and normalized harder parts of the early days, and her knowledge of the most current research and best practices with pacifiers, pumping, and common challenges.
