Terrible Experience — Stay Away! I was an international student and lived in these apartments for over two years. My experience was extremely disappointing. The rent is overpriced, and on top of that, we had to pay $40/month for parking — even visitor parking was paid. The property manager, "John," was the worst part of it all. He was consistently rude and unprofessional. four times, he forcefully and without any notice entered our apartment at midnight, claiming it was an "emergency" due to water leakage. I really had bad experience at these apartments. I was an international student, and i lived there for more than 2 years. The apartment is overpriced and we had to pay 40$ for parking every month. Even the visitor parking is paid. The manager "JOHN" is really the worst human being i have met in my life. I always tried to ignore him. Four times the manager barged into my apartment during midnight, because he said it was an "EMERGENCY", that there was water dripping from our apartment to the lower one. Apartment was freshly redone and hallway is clean and well lit, though certain other hallways are less so, I have been here a year and having a freshly redone apartment has been nice though it feels like it was rushed as certain things weren't done correctly, like my shower squealing every time i turn it on, or the floorboards intersecting across the closet door track. Overall has been a good experience minus a few things.
Don't do it... if you were considering moving into a Homestead apartment... This is a greedy corporation that has excessively increased the rents since I have lived here. I moved in back in 2020, they did exterior work to the building a few years later... all the costs/expenses for the renovations are a hundred percent tax right offs, yet they went to the Landlord/Tennant board and were able to increase rents by over fifteen percent... pure greed.
Let someone who’s not on my lease into my apartment. This is now the second time. I was told by the building manager it wasn’t him but could’ve been the cleaning staff . I don’t understand how a cleaning staff would have a key that gets into apartments. If I had the money to leave I would.
