To find the perfect recipe, you first need the perfect ingredients. And that's what our founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz were for each other. In 1997, they joined forces, or better yet kitchens, to help make cakes to entertain their friends. The cakes they made were delicious, unlike anything anyone had tasted. This was my first visit at the Spartanburg location. I usually love the brand but found this experience very disappointing. I ordered my favorite, Chocolate Chip, and it was dry. To make things worse, the icing didn't taste the same. I got the feeling it was old. I'm giving three stars because they redeemed themselves with the Red Velvet cake I purchased as well. It was closer to the moist cake I have come to love at other locations.
Mikaila was very friendly and accommodating! She helped me select the best option based on the number of guests, and even helped me carry the multiple packages to my vehicle. The store was clean with a good selection of flavors available.
The cashiers are so friendly! They greet you when you walk in! Cake is very moist! Gluten free chocolate chip is my fave!
