Truly a personal favorite! – Notaro's has been a special favorite for the five years I've lived in the area. This is where I take any new visitors to New York. A week ago I had a surprise birthday dinner party for my wife at Notaro's, and Angelo the owner, Peter, our favorite server, and all the Notaro's staff made it a great celebration. I'm going back in another week for a dinner with a group of colleagues.
Great Price & Lots to Eat – Visited here with tourists and they loved the price fix menu and price. Portions were huge and they enjoyed their meals. Personally, I thought the taste could be better. Service was great and you could actually hear your conversation. This is a great find!
Good Italian I have only gotten delivery from here so I can't comment on the ambiance or service. However, the gentleman on the phone was great and my delivery was on my doorstep no later than 15 minutes after I hung up the phone. The food (a delicious dish of gnocchi) was still piping hot when it got to me. A bonus - the containers they give are reusable as tupperware :)
Wonderful Italian Food, Great Staff! – My mom and I returned this evening to Notaro after not having been in several years (I used to live in the neighborhood) and I must say, the food and prices were just as great as always. The food is delicious, and their are certainly a lot of options, including a ton of specials. We went in for the "early bird dinner" and for around 20 dollars you get an appetizer, entree, dessert and coffee--very few places in the city offer such a deal on food that is of such high quality. A real find in NYC!!! – Great food, great prices, beautiful room...a real find in NYC. Has one of the largest menus around and eveything I've had has been superb and I've been going about once a month for about two years. Tuesday nights even have music - a whole evening of fun. Great service as well.
