I shifted to this practice after some disappointing experiences elsewhere. I had intended to see one of the other doctors but ended up seeing Dr Low, and have been extremely happy with the move. For the first time in a long time I feel that I am listened to and treated as more than a transaction. Dr Low's willingness to listen and full explain things is very refreshing. Whilst holidaying in Adelaide I started getting a severe rash and upon calling the nearest surgeries to my location was advised by each one that I could book an appointment for that very same day. When they asked which Doctor I usually saw, I advised I was on holiday from Melbourne. Immediately, the tone of the receptionist changed, and they went, umm the next available is Thursday etc (3 days away), stating that most Doctors don’t see new patients, only existing patients. Why book me an appointment for any specific time when there will be 15 people also waiting. I was not seen until 30+ minutes after my scheduled appt. And the front woman receptionist is always impolite just enough to make the visit miserable from the start. Am actively searching another practice. How frustrating…
I give zero stars (despite being compelled to provide 1) and that might seem harsh but dear reader, do read on. After moving to Adelaide a few years ago, I found myself with no doctor so I immediately set out to find what I thought was a reputable clinic. I read the reviews at the time and they seemed ok. One criteria was that they had to be LGBTI+ friendly. That has not been my experience to date.
