Norton Leatherman and Spine at St Matthews leaves plenty to be desired, and these previous reviews I definitely should have heeded, but I was sent here on a referral, so I went ahead and made an appointment. I went to this location around March. I came with a 30* curve on my spine that has rotation as well. I’ve had this diagnosis of scoliosis since I was young and am a fellow healthcare worker currently. I lift patients on a daily basis, and it is extremely hard on my back. From this visit I did not get any help and was told to “manage the symptoms with pain meds”. I was also told that “scoliosis doesn’t get worse as you age”. I normally don’t repeat reviews for a business, but I feel a responsibility to speak up after my experience. Despite months of debilitating back pain and multiple appeals for an updated MRI, this office repeatedly submitted the same paperwork over and over, never updating my records with my worsening condition or new physical therapy findings. I was very pleased that Norton Leatherman spine in Saint Matthews was concerned about the pain I am having and got me in quickly! Dr. McCarthy was extremely prepared for my appointment and came up with a treatment plan which should be very positive. The experience was great!
