I have worked at northwoods for 30 plus years. I love the residents and families, they become like my extended family. I enjoy the relationships I have with them. My co-workers are also like family, the team work is phenomenal. Not only do I work at NORTHWOODS but my grandfather and mother were also patients here and the care they received was top notch.
My mother was there in May. The care is minimal at best. Took 10 days for them to help her with shower. One day, no attendant would help her until the urine was running on to the floor under her wheel chair. And, that was when I was with her 12 hours a day to advocate for her and take care of many needs. In rehab, they confused her with another patient and put her through the wrong exercises. You do not want a loved one in this facility.
