Dr. McMahan was very personable. I felt like I was talking to a good friend every time I visit for consultation. He even spent a few minutes on small talk, which is rare these days with doctors. I was there for something minor... my inner ear was itchy and dry. He was very thorough and prescribed some ointment, as well as giving me plan B and plan C. (The ointment did the trick after a couple of days though!)
I was born with Sinus Infections. As a result every two days colds i get into a 3-week infection , This lifestyle turned me into a germ freak therefore i dont get sick anymore. Many doctors gave me different antibiotics only Dr. McMahan is the real deal. This guy weighs all the pros and cons and listens!!!! He asked if i ever had sinus surgery or if i would be interested. I was extremely pleased with my first visit with Dr. McMahan. He explained the problem, outlined the treatment and answered all my questions. He is a pleasant and caring doctor.
Dr. McMahan recently took time out from his busy schedule to see me on a medical problem not related to his specialty. He referred me to an ENT Doctor who was able to diagnose my problem. Dr. McMahan and his staff are always courteous and respectful and always exceed my expectations. In September of 2011 I had surgery to remove nasal polyps. The Northwestern Nasal and Sinus Associates did an outstanding job in correcting my breathing problems and I would strongly recommend them to anyone with nasal problems.
After years of dealing with allergies and sinus issues, Dr. McMahan was the first to give me answers to years of frustration. He worked with me on payment plans and insurance issues as I was just laid off when we discussed my needing extensive sinus surgery. Dr. McMahan and his staff went beyond the norm to help me out. Two years later I am still grateful and will be a loyal patient to Dr. McMahan. Dr. McMahan is funny and I wish I had a reason to visit the office more often than for annual checkups.
