Let me start by saying I’m a human being and I did everything right. So did the person who unknowingly infected me with Covid. Today is day 13 and I just keep getting worse. Based on what I read on my dischard papers, I have developed Covid Pneumonia in both lungs. We were at our country home to stay away from people and to try to keep me safer because i have RA and am on immunosuppressants. Best laid plans. After trying to fight this beast on my own with the help of otc exp... Continue Reading

Unbelievable wait time - completely unnecessary to sit and wait after triage and everyone is told we have at minimum 5 hour wait! We’ve been here for 4.5 hours and continued to be told to keep waiting - not crazy busy - extremely inefficient planning- total HIPAA violations with patient names and conditions discussed for everyone to hear - nurses discussing patients - I wish we were in the suburbs and our home hospital ... but this is where ambulance took us!

I recently received a transplant at Northwestern, and had to return to the DR in August. I had to wait for a very long time, but in the end, it was worth it to be admitted to the transplant unit where my doctors "run the show". Some of the staff at the front desk could use a little "sensitivity training" though. I was in terrible pain (It turned out that I had serious blood clots in my legs), and when my husband went to the desk to tell them and ask how long we would have to wait, the woman said in a very cheerful voice, "Oh... read more

The only thing I think is wrong to a patient is transferring then to the unit at change of shift time. It’s wrong to the patient as nobody comes to your room or answers the call light because the nurses are getting report. Every time I’ve been admitted here I get taken to my room at change of shift.

Can’t understand why a 79 year old transplant patient is allowed to sit in the waiting area for more than 7 hours. The staffing must be a problem this reflects absolutely poor service.

if you're not bleeding profusely this place is hidously inefficient. Absolutely no regard for a patient's time. some of the nurses and doctors are very nice, but the support staff spend more time socializing than doing their jobs! We are 45 minutes past time for a test the doctor assures us is very necessary. I've been watching the unit secretary drink coffee, eat something, chat with another "worker" and occasionally glance at the computer.
