We cannot thank the incredible team at Northwestern Medicine enough for giving my father a new life. We transferred from Palos to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for a complex valve surgery after a sudden diagnosis of end stage heart failure. Iv been with transplant for a long time, and honestly I think Northwestern is getting a little big for its britches. Its become so departmentalized, the communication between the departments has become appalling. Schedulers giving me appointments for Drs. that arent available. Drs./nurses telling me to come back for treatments on days that aren't available. I actually had a nurse lecture me about canceling appointments I didn't need in the first place(the system had put in multiple dates for the same appointment.) There are ... read more
One of the operating staff did not bother to help or at least explain/listen to my question. When I asked a question she was extremely rude. I didn’t even finish half my sentence and she replied with “no” and hung up immediately after with a tone. Highly unprofessional. No patient deserves this.
