Our Mother (a Cancer patient )was admitted to Northwestern for two weeks. She received unsatisfactory care in her fragile condition. Our mother was unable to communicate, eat or take meds. She was totally reliant on the unskilled, uncompassionate and slow moving nursing staff. After a medical procedure our mom experienced bleeding which was treated with a small bandit. I’ll keep it brief: NWM’s downtown campus needs seating that actually fits people under 5’4. The chairs are huge, deep, and clearly built for tall folks — shorter older patients end up dangling like toddlers, which wrecks their back and calves. Your furniture in your waiting rooms and lobbies require a reassessment. The average height of a female is 5'4. It makes it tough to trust NMF's commitment to female health research.
I had a surgical procedure performed by Dr. Elaraji and had a wonderful experience! Her surgical skills are top tier. The entire process was so well taken care of by Dr. Elaraji and her team at Northwestern Memorial and the surgery was done painlessly and scarless. Thank you also to Veronica Castro for being such an excellent caring nurse after the procedure was completed. She was so thoughtful and incredibly kind. My experience was beyond expectations! Thank you again.
