I sent my daughter to bring my cat into the client with a bad tooth. The vet wanted to keep her over night and biopsy her gums when she clearly had an abscessed tooth. This vet was trying to run up my bill, and take advantage of my kid's lack of knowledge. Then when i said, no to the biopsy, he tried to send her home with no antibiotics!!! Omg!!! Hmm. Two sides to every story here. There may be some needed dental care but the bleeding mass in the lip of this kitty really should be biopsied first. Seems like a normal step, biopsying lumps, sounds pretty medically sound to me. And since there is a painful mass at the mouth, an injectable antibiotic makes more sense than oral. And painkillers, since I was told that eating has decreased. Tooth or tumor, pain either way. We have taken all our animals(4 cats and 1 dog) here for a few years. they Awesome people and Dr. Johner is the best. He understands our needs and does not push the expensive extra's like some vets do. I have heard other people say they are really expensive, I have not seen this to be the case. they are not Walmart cheap, but ,they are not Rolex expensive. Our average vet bill whether it is for an injury or a well checkup is around $100.00. the average people doctor is 3 to 4 times higher and they spend less time. If you wan... read more

We just moved to Birch Bay Village. Our beloved Coton started experiencing extreme separation anxiety due to a number of circumstances. Dr. Johner was spot on with his assessment and her first day on medication we have seen a difference. The entire staff is wonderful!
We have always had pets. Dr. Johner is the best vet we have ever had. He is personable and you can tell he loves animals. You can't find a better vet clinic than Northwest Vet Clinic.
