I had a very disappointing experience with Northwest Surgical Clinic. They charge a $200 no-show fee, but this was never clearly explained before my appointment. If a clinic has such a significant penalty, patients should be required to sign a consent form or at least receive a clear written notice during the booking process stating that a $200 no-show fee applies. I had my visit to Dr John Fernandez last June 8,2026 at 4:15pm. He's very friendly ,calm and professional that my nervous went away. He's an excellent Doctor. The front desk (his nurse) is very accommodating and did a perfect job. Overall... excellent 👍!
Pushy and unempathetic front desk staff. Money oriented. Despite numerous reviews regarding the unpleasant receptionist over the years, she is still there. To me, this means that patient experience is low priority, thus making patients feel anxious, dismissed, or unsafe.
1 star due to front desk experience. This does not reflect Dr. Fernandez, who I would rate much higher. Unfortunately, the way I was treated administratively (receptionist) significantly impacted my overall experience. In March 2024, my son saw Dr. Fernandez and he was excellent, knowledgeable, kind, and great with children. Because of that, I specifically requested a referral back to this clinic. Dr. Fernandez removed a sebaceous cyst from my back a few weeks ago. Its healing nicely and I'm pleased with the results. His office has a nice atmosphere and the wait times were reasonable. The cost for this mostly cosmetic surgery were inline with my expectations. I'd use his services again. Hopefully I won't need them, of course. :-)
