it has been family owned now for THREE generations. I have known the family since 1962. My cousin on Samish Island needed a propane supplier for his new home. He called every business in Whatcom, Skagit and Island counties and chose NWP because of their professional approach. They are GOOD FOLKS!

Save yourself. Go through any other propane company !!! I Bought a house, moved in, tried for months to get the propane tank out of my yard. Had to call so many times before my tank was picked up, I lost count! I scheduled 3 picks up before one went through (Did I mention it was a nw propane tank but they have zero record of it at my address) But Then they wanted to charge me tank rent. Then they didn’t want to refund what propane was left in my tank after they finally picked it up. Then the refund check got lost in the mail... read more
Great service. Quickly replaced a defective valve. I had left the tank with a competitor two days earlier. When I came to pick it up, they had not done anything. I took the tank across the freeway for competent, quick, friendly service!

Because I wasn't used to propane, I made the error of not ordering auto-fill, and ended up with an empty tank in the middle of a major snowstorm because I hadn't monitored how quickly it was being used. Even so, Northwest Propane was able to get out within two days to fill it, during a time when many individuals and businesses were having problems getting around the area. I think that's a pretty decent turnaround time, and the experience was definitely a lesson for me!
