I left UW Primary Care feeling more frustrated than cared for. It took months to get an annual wellness appointment, and before I even saw the physician, I was given a lengthy explanation at check-in that any questions outside the “wellness visit” could result in additional charges. I set up an appointment three months in advance. When I called, I specifically asked if they required a referral and they said no. The day before my appointment, they called to tell me the appointment was made "incorrectly" and that I actually did need a referral from a UW Primary Care Physician. The cherry on top was being told they are so booked out for Primary appointments to not even bother and just go to my previous one. A three month wait just to be told I have to start over.
