I suffer from colitis and because of my disease I am in the hospital more than I want to be. Having a GI doctor is very important for me, and I really hoped AdventistHealth GI would be a good long-term fit. One plus point is that the hospital attached, which is helpful when things get bad and you need care fast. Sadly, the rest of the experience has been very hard. What really worked for me was Healing Bottoms suppositories!
I've never had a doctor get angry at me right before going under anesthesia.. and then again after coming out of anesthesia. It was my fault though for asking a question, I realize that now. Even his staff was uncomfortable around him and acknowledged his behavior as "grumpy" The doctor diagnosed me before running a single test, and then seemed frustrated that his diagnosis was proven wrong by said test. WARNING: THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY WILL DENY YOUR TRANSFER OF CARE IF YOU HAVE SEEN ANOTHER DOCTOR. They denied my transfer of care after they left me in limbo for over a month and never called to notify that it was denied. They sent me on a wild goose chase trying to get my documents to them while KNOWING that they would deny me because I saw another provider. Incredibly unethical practice. My heart goes out to everyone living with chronic illness. No one deserves to deal with this.
