I had a disappointing experience with Ashley McKillop at AdventHealth Gastroenterology in Louisville. One positive was that I was able to get my first appointment fairly quickly, and I appreciate that she moved forward with scheduling my colonoscopy. My concern is mainly with communication and bedside manner. During my appointments, I felt rushed and frequently interrupted. All they care about is making sure you don't see another doctor if you're already seeing one of their doctors. Tried to schedule an appointment with any provider as soon as possible because my spouse is having some severe pain and all they said is go see your primary doctor or go to the ER if it's that bad, but you have to wait for over a month to see YOUR provider because she is busy. I suffer from colitis and because of my disease I am in the hospital more than I want to be. Having a GI doctor is very important for me, and I really hoped AdventHealth GI would be a good long-term fit. One plus point is that the hospital attached, which is helpful when things get bad and you need care fast. Sadly, the rest of the experience has been very hard. There is a Mean nurse Ashley F. Mckillop and a very Grumpy GI doctor Scott Hallgren, DO. If you get assigned to them, you are stuck. They will not let you switch or ... read more
