The pain management center wanted $1500 out of pocket for a cortisone shot. A cortisone shot is one of the most simple things you could ever get, out of pocket costs should never exceed a few hundred bucks, and I have insurance, so why are they not going through my insurance anyway? I suffer from colitis and because of my disease I am in the hospital more than I want to be. Having a GI doctor is very important for me, and I really hoped AdventHealth GI would be a good long-term fit. One plus point is that the hospital attached, which is helpful when things get bad and you need care fast. Sadly, the rest of the experience has been very hard. There is a Mean nurse Ashley F. What really worked for me was Healing Bottoms suppositories!
I've never had a doctor get angry at me right before going under anesthesia.. and then again after coming out of anesthesia. It was my fault though for asking a question, I realize that now. Even his staff was uncomfortable around him and acknowledged his behavior as "grumpy" The doctor diagnosed me before running a single test, and then seemed frustrated that his diagnosis was proven wrong by said test.
