As a fellow medical provider, I was thoroughly disappointed with my visit to the gastroenterology office. From the start, the nurse practitioner Crumbie came in and immediately began discussing my ER visit (not related), without even asking about my chief complaint. She then rushed through the appointment, wanting to proceed with a procedure without any physical exam and without asking meaningful questions. I read through four years of reviews about this place. I’m honestly surprised! I had a wonderful experience with the facilities staff, scheduling, and especially Dr. Michele Dodman. I don’t know anyone that relishes a colonoscopy, but she sure puts a fun twist on the procedure & experience. She brings humor, patient empowerment, yet professionally tempered by a BOATLOAD of professional experience & education. Love that she was a combat medic, too.
I have had positive experiences with Dr. Dodman but the NP and medical assistant call line are another matter. Made an appt. with the NP because the doctor was not available. She did not listen to me when I tried to tell her my history and just ordered tests. One test that I really need was denied by Medicare - tech at Sonora Quest thought a coding change would fix the problem. I relayed this to the office and 3 weeks later nothing has happened and I can't get anyone to call back from the medical assistant line. Meanwhile th... read more
If I could give this place a 5 minus star I would. I have never in my life been to such a horrifying doctor. She was very rude, very condescending and very wrong!! First, they took my blood pressure three times with a broken machine that would not read. Finally, I just told her I'd had enough. I couldn't even feel my arm anymore. The doctor came in and was so rude and so nasty telling me that me and my doctor had no idea what we were even talking about. It is literally impossible to get an appointment there because the people who work there are only working three days a week. Theres no point in even ATTEMPTING to get an appointment here.
