My husband needed a colonoscopy. He’s 30 but his mom and dad’s side both have issues. I called BCBS they said yes it would be covered. Well I get a bill for $3,000 months later, hospital and doctors office kept blaming each other. Nobody could give us a straight answer. Office said they would call back. Never did, now we got served for the bill. Never have had his happen with any other medical procedure. Stay away from these offices.
The intake personnel, nurses, and doctor treated us with kindness and respect. The entire procedure was smooth and efficient.
As a fellow medical provider, I was thoroughly disappointed with my visit to the gastroenterology office. From the start, the nurse practitioner Crumbie came in and immediately began discussing my ER visit (not related), without even asking about my chief complaint. She then rushed through the appointment, wanting to proceed with a procedure without any physical exam and without asking meaningful questions. I read through four years of reviews about this place. I’m honestly surprised! I had a wonderful experience with the facilities staff, scheduling, and especially Dr. Michele Dodman. I don’t know anyone that relishes a colonoscopy, but she sure puts a fun twist on the procedure & experience. She brings humor, patient empowerment, yet professionally tempered by a BOATLOAD of professional experience & education. Love that she was a combat medic, too.
I have had positive experiences with Dr. Dodman but the NP and medical assistant call line are another matter. Made an appt. with the NP because the doctor was not available. She did not listen to me when I tried to tell her my history and just ordered tests. One test that I really need was denied by Medicare - tech at Sonora Quest thought a coding change would fix the problem. I relayed this to the office and 3 weeks later nothing has happened and I can't get anyone to call back from the medical assistant line. Meanwhile th... read more
