I can't say enough about Susan and her team. Where do I begin? We chose NW Community Midwives because they provide the kind of service and support we wanted for our first birth. We wanted our homebirth to be intimate and empowering. We wanted to have someone who would present us with all of our options throughout the process (prenatal, birth, and postpartum) and allow us to make the decisions we felt were best for us, our baby, and our family. Susan is a guide, a confidant, a teacher, and a creative collaborator throughout the birthing process. Her service to us in the lead up to the birth of our son, along with her calm and steady presence in our home throughout the delivery, embody everything a midwife should be (and more). She provides so much more than you ever expect and gave us a wonderful starting place, emotionally and physically, for our new family. Northwest Community Midwives came highly recommended to my husband and me, and we quickly saw why - Susan is an incredible midwife. She is extremely experienced and knowledgeable, and she provided us with fantastic care throughout my pregnancy, during labor and after the birth of our son. With Susan's help, our son was born VBAC, at home, in the water. It was an amazing experience for the entire family! I highly recommend Northwest Community Midwives.
