I've had a colonoscopy by Dr Ortega and was very pleased with the experience. Now, it is time for my next one (time sensitive due to my sister having been diagnosed with colon cancer a few years ago) but I have called and left messages requesting someone call me back to schedule an appointment, but nobody has. Is there any way to contact a person or set up an appointment online?
I dealt with Dr. Ortgego many years ago when my son was sick. He never diagnosed anything and ran tests but never came back to tell us the results. I ended up transporting my son to Dallas where he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. When he finally went in for surgery, his colon was completely ulcerated and literally fell apart in the surgeon 's hands. I would never want anyone to go through the experience my son did just because Dr. Ortgego didn't want to help him.
I was referred to a gastroenterologist for a routine colonoscopy. This is my third or fourth, I can't really remember, anyway because I am currently 69 years old. My doctor that performed my colonoscopy, came into my waiting area and consulted with me prior to the procedure. He had asked why I was there, and my family history concerning colon related concerns. If I could rate this doctor a zero I would!! My husband has been working with this doctor for the past five years with no results or a real diagnosis. He keeps diagnosing my husband with IBS and he has much more severe symptoms that people with IBS do not have, which a simple Google search will tell you! We have tried to explain this to this doctor, but he refuses to look at anything else.
