This is not an institution-like place. A caring, family-like staff that will do anything for you. Not a ton of rules, and mostly everyone abides by mutual respect. The on-site doctor, Dr Meza, is a compassionate, attentive guy who genuinely cares. The rest of the staff is equally caring. There are alway people to talk to, and friendly long lasting advice (if you want it). If you’re serious about finding a nice place, nice accommodations and nice people… this is it. Also, doctor owned- important!
North Star Detox has an ethical and outstanding approach towards the treatment of substance use disorder. I have personally worked with Northstar for the last 2 1/2 years. Northstar has been a trusted companion with our organization, Conejo Valley Recovery Centers , and continues to do outstanding work in our communities.
This is NOT your typical rehab - it's more like a home away from home in a private, beautiful home that happens to also have a clinical team that can help you build the sober life you deserve. By the time you leave NorthStar you'll inherit a new family of people who genuinely care for you.
The very best there is! I’ve been to rehabilitation centers and detoxes before but NorthStar tops the list with no challenge whatsoever. The staff and facilities are some of the kindest, intuitive, and all around loving and caring people I have met in my life. The house itself if stunning with all the comforts of home you could ever wish for, with top of the line cooks and maids which make the place just that much more spectacular.
