“I had a very disturbing experience at Northside Sugar Hill Imaging. I observed staff consistently taking white and Spanish patients ahead of Black patients, even when Black patients arrived first. Black patients were also immediately asked for payment up front, and if they could not pay on the spot, they were made to wait until last to be seen. The very best imaging equipment and staff in area. Ruth in intake was especially helpful and kind and made me smile and my heart brighten after a terrible health event brought me to NSH imaging center for an MRI.
Terribly inefficient and rude. I've met my out of pocket max and they tried to tell me the day before that I owe 4k per my insurance. I called my insurance and they said "absolutely not, we told them and the system shows you have 0 patient responsibility". Then when I called this place back they then told me it doesn't matter because the MRI type that my doctor ordered AND my insurance approved, can't be done. *Edit to add I spoke to my doctor today and he was given the run around as well, they were supposed to have the radi... read more
Do not go here unless you want expensive extra bills from a third party radiology company. I requested a total for imaging before my appointment. Paid that on date of service only to get a third party bill later. American Health Imaging is way less expensive and doesn't hit you with extra bills.
